Now know as Cakewalk (again). This is definitely going to make some paying ex-Sonar users very sore. I may try this just to get the ARA integration sorely lacking in Cubase.

I bought Sonar Producer years ago and found it very clunky. Downloaded and installed this latest one. It is STILL clunky. Dragging windows or moving stuff around causes things to jerk and often interrupt the audio in ways that Cubase doesn't. And so many dialog boxes to dismiss. If I'd paid for lifetime upgrades a couple of years ago for this, I'd be angry now at it being given away for free.
p.s. You do get a nice suite of Sonitus plugins that work inside Cubase, so it's worth installing. Ed
